The rules
The contest opens September 12th and closes October 17th.
Your story must have a Halloween theme.
Your story must be tagged with #halloween2024.
Your story must be no longer than 4,500 words.
Your story must be new and original.
Your story must not have been published on any other platform.
By participating, you agree to have your story narrated by Nightscribe's narrator and the narration posted on our YouTube channel. You also agree to have your narration and/or story mentioned on our social feeds and featured in our newsletter.
How to enter
Starting today, September 12th, you can enter by writing a Halloween-themed story, tagging it with #halloween2024, and submitting it by October 17th.
How to win
Conjure up a Halloween tale you'd hesitate to read alone. After submissions close on October 17th, we'll review all stories tagged #halloween2024 and choose our three favorites. We'll announce the winner on Halloween.
What you can win
The winner's story will receive a full narration by Nightscribe's narrator, whose identity we're keeping a mystery for now.
We'll post the narration on Nightscribe's YouTube channel and share it on our new Twitter/X and Instagram feeds. You'll also be featured on our platform for the whole of November.
We'll start posting on our new channels in October, with contest news, author features, stories, and popular tags. Follow along to see the entries and meet more of our community.
Our narrations will not be performed by AI. Your stories deserve a human voice, and that's what we'll give them.
Runners-up
Second and third place will join the winner on our Hollow Halloween podium. Their stories won't receive narrations, but we'll feature them on the platform and share them with the community.
